Little Makers (Summer)

Little Makers is an art program designed for young children to play, create, and explore through art. With sensory-rich materials and heart-led art-making, children build confidence, develop resilience, and express themselves in a nurturing environment. This drop-off class offers a wonderful space for independent creating.

Class Details: 

  • Who: Children ages 4–6 (independently using the washroom)

  • Supports: Confidence · Emotional literacy · Social development

  • Format: 6-week session or Single Drop-in

  • Each Class Includes: Welcome · Art-making · Reflection

  • When: Tuesdays 10:00–11:30 AM · July 14–August 18, 2026

  • Class Size: 14 children, supported by 1 or 2 Art Therapists (Jennifer and/or Amy)

  • Cost:

    • Drop-in class $45

Little Makers + Caregiver
(Spring + Summer)

Rather than a structured lesson, the space is filled with "invitations to create" tactile stations featuring materials like clay, paint, and textiles. You and your child can move at your own pace, following their curiosity and enjoying the simple act of co-creating. [Siblings in arms (under 1) are welcome to attend free of charge.]

Class Details:

  • Who: Toddlers (walking) up to 5 years, plus their grown-up

  • Supports: Bonding · Co-regulation · Sensory development

  • Format: 6-week session or Single Drop-in

  • Each Class Includes: Connection · Sensory Exploration · Process-Art

  • When:

    • Spring: Thursdays 10:00–11:00 AM · June 4, June 11, June 18

    • Summer: Thursdays 10:00-11:00 AM · July 16 - August 20

  • Class Size: 12 children + their grown-up, supported by 1 or 2 Art Therapists (Jennifer and/or Amy)

Open Studio: (Summer)

Looking for a summer activity that keeps your child engaged, offline, and inspired, while giving you a predictable weekly break?

Open Studio is a creative afternoon to gather, create, and connect. In our welcoming studio, children are invited to explore open-ended, process-based art materials, experiment with exciting mediums, follow their curiosity, and bring their unique ideas to life. With plenty of choice and encouragement, makers can create at their own pace while building confidence, creativity, and community. On beautiful weather days, art-making may spill outdoors into our backyard creative space.

Class Details:

  • Who: Children ages 6 - 12

  • Supports: Choice-making · Creativity · Community

  • Format: 6-class pass or Drop-in

  • Each Class Includes: Welcome · Art-making · Optional Reflection

  • Class Size: 14 children, supported by 1 or 2 Art Therapists (Jennifer and/or Amy)

  • When: Tuesdays + Thursdays 12:00–2:00 PM · July 14 – August 18

Morning Art Camp

Our half-day summer camps offer a screen-free, creative space designed to blend summer fun with nervous-system regulation. Guided by art therapists, these camps prioritize the joyful creative process over the final product, allowing kids to express themselves, build agency, and truly unwind during their summer holidays.

Little Makers Together
(Fall)

A shared art-making experience for young children and their caregivers. The studio is filled with thoughtfully prepared invitations to create that encourage connection, sensory exploration, and creative discovery.

Move at your own pace, explore a variety of art materials, or settle into clay play in our sensory room. This child-led experience is about following your child's curiosity, sharing creative experiences, and enjoying the simple joy of making art together.

Warm tea is provided. Please dress for a mess.

Class Details:

  • Who: Toddlers (walking) up to 5 years, plus their grown-up

  • Supports: Bonding · Co-regulation · Sensory development

  • Format: 7 or 8 Week Session

  • Each Class Includes: Connection · Sensory Exploration · Process-Art

  • When:

    • Monday: 10:00–11:00 AM · Sept 14 - Oct 26

  • Class Size: 12 children + their grown-up, supported by 1 or 2 Art Therapists (Jennifer and/or Amy)

    • Mondays $245 (no class Oct. 13)

After-School Hive (Fall)

“The Hive” invites children into a supportive space to unwind, make art, and connect with others. Through gentle structure and guided invitations to create, children are offered rich materials and the opportunity to explore, experiment, and follow their own creative process.

Class Details:

  • Who: Children ages 7–12

  • Supports: Curiosity · Creativity · Connection · Belonging

  • Format: 8-Week Session

  • Each Class Includes: Creative Warm-up · Art Invitition · Access to wide variety of art materials · Optional reflection

  • Class Size: 16 children, supported by 1 or 2 Art Therapists (Jennifer + Amy)

  • When: Sept 8 - Oct 29

    • Tuesdays 4:00pm - 5:00pm

    • or Thursday 3:00pm - 4:00pm

  • Cost: $280 for 8 weeks (Tuesday or Thursday)

Creative Care: New Parents (Fall)

Designed for new parents and their pre-crawling babies, this gentle, supportive circle offers time to rest, reflect, and create together. Through simple art invitations, shared stories, and meaningful connection, parents are nurtured alongside their babies during the early months of parenthood.

Class Details:

  • Who: Parents or caregivers with babies (pre-crawling)

  • Supports: Self-care · Bonding · Creative reflection

  • Format: 8-week session · Meets weekly

  • Each Class Includes: Welcome · Art invitation · Closing circle

  • When: Coming in the Fall 2026

  • Cost: $295

Shine also partners with schools, organizations, and community groups to deliver sensory-rich, art therapy–informed programming for children, teens, and adults. These outreach programs bring Shine’s supportive, inclusive approach beyond the studio walls, creating nurturing spaces for emotional expression and creative exploration.
